One of the gore incidents that has happened in the recent times. It wasnt the intensity of the blast that struck me but it was the execution of the same which was shocking. Imagine in garbage u got bombs, crude one made with ammonium nitrate, metal pieces, nails and BLADES. I was stunned for i was in my college attending an interview and had taken off with my friend to play snooker near forum just 20 minutes before the blast, i was shell shocked. The whole city was thrown into dissaray.
Mobile networks were jammed, colleges were shut down and it was chaos and commotion everywhere. Man! And people thought that terrorism was in Kashmir. Politicians were quick to make public statements and visit the injured in hospitals. So with government in hospitals who was running the state at the time we needed them the most? Congress blamed BJP for the blasts and BJP blamed the SIMI [ Students of Islamic Movement of India]. What rubbish after everything is done you blame like cheapskates.
Everyone of us is to share the blame. What were we doing when all of this was still in its grass roots. Terrorism is poetry until it strikes your near and dear ones. Then all hell breaks loose. Blame the government, blame the terrorist outfits and blame the cops . Yeah! blame but you also need to stand up and take notice. But we are Indians and we wouldnt do that.
Life is back to normal on Saturday! Sad right?
stand up and take notice….?how is tat goin to help….?
n u jst cant generalise ur statement abt indians…i agree, there area few who are not bothered abt wats happenin…but the others who are really concerned abt the present situation cant do much abt it….i wud love to know how u r exactly standing up to all these n takin notice of it….
I would say standing up and taking notice would be becoming aware about whats happening around you in your locality, if you see some anti social elements, inform the police [which most of us wouldnt do]. When you see something wrong happening and you dont like it, go and stop it than walking away with an attitude that ‘it doesnt concern me!’
Small things make a huge difference, go ahead try to remove poverty, get into politics than crip about corrupt politicians, become IAS Officers, get power and use it for constructive purposes, use media to your advantage write, shoot videos in your digital cameras and use them big.
There are loads of things we can do , but we need to stand up against first!
